Though I have never taken any sort of film class I ocassinoally come with an ingenious idea for a potential idea, today was no exception.

Let's get started: Hollywood has exploited virtually possible scenario in which a natural phenomena of some sort threatens to end the world as we know it, you name it, they've done it: hurricane, tornado, meteroite crash, collapse of earth's core, alien invasion. But I think the may have forgotten about one, a big one: runaway greenhouse effect. But after I submit my script, it won't be a problem anymore.

Let's get down to the plot scientists test polar ice caps to discover that carbon monoxide levels are at dangerous all time highs, threatining to both destroy the ozone and rapidly heat earth to tempertures similiar to those on Venus. It gets even better, of course the government only has x-amount of time to fix this problem, and of course they have plan of action: And it is the unleashing of Vin Diesel and The Rock on international mission to destroy all the world's sources of carbon monoxide. Far fetched? I think not.

Now one would think that they this sort of mission would require heavy duty weapontry, but when your as bad ass as these guys, it simply isn't the case. Diesel and Rock go around simply destroying factories and other sources of pollution with their barehands, via karate chops, head butts, elbows, and of course jump kicking. Of course they'll meet resistances from factory owners and what not, but thats no problem because Diesel can crush skulls with his bare hands. I'm even envisioning a scene in which the rock pulls out his cock and decabtates an enemy, but i'm afarid i'll the pg-13 rating.

I've suddenlly come to the realization that this is going absolutely no where.

Disclaimer: If this post reads more like an essay (with all the college speak and what not) more than a live journal entry, it is because I have been in college for far too long. You must all keep in mind that I am going absolutely bunkers from finals related stress.
TAH

So i've recently come to the conclusion that I want to be a teacher, most likely a high school teacher so i wno't have to babysit kids. I wanna be like the cool young teacher thats buddy buddy with everyone, but then be like total dick come grading time, especially when comes to the overachieving study alholic types. Example, kid writes an excellent paper, I give the him a 2.0, and when he comes to me for an explanation i'll just be like "dude, your paper was dick, so lay off."

Many people speak of having recurring dreams, as in "I keep having this dream where I..." and you know the deal. I've never had reoccuring dreams, for whatever reason. I do on the other hand have dreams with recurring themese. I can never quite tell exactly what my dreams mean right off the bat, but with the help of finding the meaning is not so hard. Anyhow it goes like this, things never go quite far enough. I'm happy with the way things are going for the most part, but on the other hand, theres still room for improvement, which is a good thing if you really think about it. I'm at the airport, my bags are packed, I've got my ticket, well duh i'm waiting for a plane, and I miss it by seconds of course. So it goes.
Anyways I didn't get into U of M as I anticipated, so it looks a lot like I will be in East Lansing next semester. Before I really dreaded the thought of going to MSU but now I've decieded it won't be so bad after all, if you go in looking for bad, you'll probably find it. After all I know a decent amount of people there, and I can take better classes there with better profs than at OU. I hope some of yous come out to visit during that time.
My love affair with the 60's has also continued, Simon and Garfunkel are the fucking whip.
My attempts to grow a beard last week were sadly foiled by my bathroom mirror. I mean I had quite a thing going, w/o shaving for over a week, and I thought it would make me look more masculine but it really just made me look more like a hobo. This especially tragic because I saw my brother for the first time in awhile this afternoon and he had grown a sizeable beard, nice looking beard (but not like John Lennon or anything ridiclious like that).
School has pretty much been the dominant force in my life for the past month or so, which isn't so bad because i don't mind my classes. I have to write a 12-15 page research paper for my sociology of deviance class, which I started today, but I'm having a hard time selecting a topic as of now. So far its between spousal abouse/rape and heroin useage. Wouldn't it be totally rock n roll cliche of me to do a paper on heroin, my prof will probably think I advocate its use or some shit like that.
I'm very happy with the fact that my first exams of the semester went well. I'm also happy that two of my four classes are predominatly female. I'm not happy with the fact that fall has come in like such an asshole.

So today this BRO (presumably a student) walks into my Islamic Art class. He has prehaps the most blinged out cell-phone ever, I mean if it were a car it would probably have been hovering, anyways to be more specific it blue flashing lights, that were especially bright. Keep in mind this man had the nuts to walk into class late on this thing, anyhow as fate would have it he sits right next to me, as fucking phone keeps blinking periodically. What douche fuck.
Yeah in other news I've had a change of heart, and I've sort of realized that I need to get out of this anti-social rut i've been in. Just staying in and playing guitar was cool during the summer, but having class and work all week kinda gives you the itch to get out, eh?
In other news I missed a chance to see Simon and Garfunkel, how 60's of me would that have been?

So yeah since my life is like an open book (har har), with the readers constantly hanging on every little detail i've decieded to once again decieded to update this online diary of mine.

For starters agaisnt my parents I bought a nice, expensive Martin guitar. While I could definetly afford the instrument, the purchase has definetly left me rationing money for the rest of the summer, but I maintain that it was well worth the $600 + I spent on it. I've dicked around with several medicore guitars before, but this is really my first grandoise one per say. And of course, I take care of it like it was my baby.
Also in order to horde away more money for the comning semester i've been working like its no ones business. Of late i've been able to accumulate many a hours due to the fact that a good portion of our exprienced staff had to quit because they were leaving for school. On Monday I recievede a raise, which is is both a blessing and cruse because there going to now start paying me in checks, rather than in cash under the table. Oh and check this,i've also recently recieved a key for the store so that I can open on Saturdays, kudos to me.
Yeah so ironically enough this final week of summer has been the closest thing i've had all summer to a vacation (aside from my weekend in Chicago), i'm only two full days this week, and a couple four shifts, not bad at all.
OH yeah last but certianly not least i'll let you all in on a little secret. The only reason I play guitar is so that I can bone Venessa Carlton. See my plan is too somehow work my way into the mtv ring of celebrites with no visible talent and maybe get my own episode of cribs. Maybe i'll just write one really cheesy song and sell it to her. Anyways once i'm famous she'll totally go for me. Now you may be asking "Ryan, if you go could go for a hollywood chick, wouldn't you go for someone more attractive than Vanessa Carlton." Ha, well the answers no, I mean seriously she just looks so fucking dead sexy at that piano, but still manages too maintain that cute and innocent look. Shes a 10 in my book.

Alright this will probably the last time I write for awhile.

So I've decieded to temporally lift the embargo on serious live journal posts... I've read several similar posts with a theme of something along the lines of "rules to live by", which is a cool concept I suppose. Understand in reading this that I do not nescarily unconditionally ubide by these rules either, just some healthy suggestions I suppose :) Prehaps there a bit too idealistic

1. Trust is everything. In any sort of relationship trust should be the foundation, if you don't have trust, you don't have much of anything.

2. Good things in life will happen. But only so if you make them happen. Most anything you want to make happen you can, so if theres you really want to do, its best to just to do something about it to make it become reality.

3. If you have to unwillingly spend X amount of money every time just to hang out with a friend, then the frienship is bunk.

4. If you have to resort to use live journal to address serious problems with "close friends" then the friendship is bunk. I mean seriously, you have enough time to at least addresss the problem over the phone, if not in person. You really don't need to make it everyone else's problem.

5. Saying bunk doesn't make me SWEET.

6. It's much more effective to just deal with shit than to belly ache it (very serious problems need not apply). Life is certainly not great all the time by any means, but seriously, most everything in your life is under your control, so rather than making an ocean out of a puddle, just deal with stuff, you'll feel a lot better in the end.

7. It's okay to get bummed when your friends let you down or whatever, but at the same time you can't let it destroy you. I mean in life people will constintely dissapointed you and whatnot, but that shouldn't make you lose your faith in people and friendships. Anne up and play again, like before its just easier to deal with it.

8. Having a hobby or trade which you are passionate about and pursue seriously will make your life infinelty better.
9. If you know better, you should do better. For example, just because you know something you are doing is wrong, doesn't mean its cool to just go ahead and do it with the idea in mind that your just going to apologize later.
Just because i'm preaching right now doesn't make me preachy.

And so yeah, thats it. You'll probably wanna yell at me or something, which is fine, feel free to disagree.
Anyhow while pursuing the internet a few minutes ago I found this awesome "sweet bro" webpage. I was incredibly surprised to learn it wasn't made by anyone I know. But still, kudos to whoever made it!. http://members.tripod.com/~RacerX4824/420bro.html

As Mr. Miyagi said in the Karate Kid Part I (1984, Ralph Macchio) "Walk left side of the road okay, walk right side of the road okay, walk in the middle of the road squish like grape!). He then went on to say (karate do yes, okay, karate do no, okay, karate do "okay, i guess so", "squish like grape.") Anyhow I hope you all understand the point he was trying to make it. Now you may be asking, "what wisdom could you possibly extract from a 80's action movie that could be relevalant to your life?" Well it goes like this. "Ryan do guitar yes, okay, Ryan do guitar no, okay, Ryan do guitar guess so, squish like grape." I've made tremendous progress in my playing over the past two months and my lessons have benefitted more than I had even anticipated. However, I have always, or at least, at times struggled with commitment. True, I have been practicing vigriously of late, but not quite doing my exercises in the proper order so as to guarentee that I will reach my goal. So tonight I made myself the same promises that we've all made ourselves a million times over during the course of our lives "i'm going to be fully committed to whatever." And not that I haven't been committed, but I still could do better. I was lying in bed only 90 minutes ago and debating wheather or not to go to sleep. Fortunely my better half one and I wound up making the trip upstairs, taking care of business, and spenting a wonderful hour or so practicing. Needles to say, I am feeling much more relaxed and self assured about my guitar playing as well as other things in my life. So the simple point i'm trying to make is that stay active, as much as possible I guess, and be productive. It will make things much easier on you in the long run and of course you will be much more succesful in reaching your goals.

Dammit... this post reads like an elementary school class room poster, only much more elabrate. Good thing its only livejournal.
